The United Arab Emirates values its friendship with India and the two countries are working together to boost trade and investment, according to the UAE Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. 'India and the UAE are working to boost trade, investment, research and education exchange. We value the friendship with the people of India and want to enhance it,' he said, while speaking at the 30th annual International Conference of the Dubai chapter of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He lauded the role of chartered accountants in safeguarding national economies and corporate governance and described them as 'reliable pillars' of an economy, according to a report of the Press Trust of India.
