
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Relief and Development Inc. (IRD) on Saturday launched some productive projects in the Tafilah city, according to the Head of the Community Committee, Ali Badaineh.
Badaineh indicated that the UNHCR is seeking to carry out several social, health and educational activities for the local community and Syrian refugees.
The Community Committee receives the refugees' demands and complaints, as well as their activities with the UNHCR.
The Committee provide various kinds of support to facilitate them in accessing various services, he added.
The local community and Syrian refugees praised the Committee, the UNHCR and the IRD for their services, especially in the field of healthcare.
