US increases Jordan aid by $340m

The US government has announced plans to increase its economic aid to Jordan by $340 million, as ?extra annual economic aid starting from 2014.? It means the total amount of American financial aid to Jordan has reached $1 billion a year.? US official said that the extra funds would be used by Jordan to deal with local and ?international affairs.? The aid increase was announced after the visit of US Secretary of State John ?Kerry to Jordan last week.? Kerry was informed about the services being provided to the Syrian refugees in Zaatari camp in al-Mafraq ?governorate, north-east of Amman.?
