
Minister of Industry and Commerce, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today held an open meeting with hotel owners to discuss visions, proposals and obstacles face hotel sector.
Hotel owners welcomed the initiative, which is a great opportunity for exchanging visions that serve the national economy.
Assistant Undersecretary for Tourism Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, gave an overview of the notable growth in tourism movement and its contribution to Bahrain's gross domestic product.
The minister underlined the government's support for all initiatives that meet its goals and Bahrain economic vision, which is based on the development of vital sectors and on getting all parties involved to create job opportunities and achieving quality services and competitiveness.
He asserted that the ministry will work side by side with investors to accentuate Bahrain tourism characteristic and to develop tourism facilities to promote tourism.
He said that this type of meeting will be monthly held to identify difficulties and find appropriate solutions for them.
