
Prime Minister of Lebanon Tammam Salam has launched the work session of the 22nd annual Arab Economic Forum in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, with the participation of Yemen.
At the forum's inauguration which attended by 450 political, economic and academic figures presenting 14 Arab countries, the Lebanese Premier expressed his grateful to his Arab brothers, particularly the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s states for supporting stability and development of Lebanon.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and delegation head, Omar Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani said that the forum aims to review the overall Arab economic conditions and ways to promote the economic integration among Arab countries.
The two –day forum will include in its agenda five sessions dealing with Arab economy to face political transitions as well as nature of challenges impeding the Arab economy from one hand, and requirements to accelerate the Lebanese growth and its economy from the other.
