Chairman of the Executive Board of the Union of Turkish Contractors, Emin Sazak on Sunday said that the year 2012 was an excellent year for Turkish contractors. Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), Sazak underlined that Turkish contractors in 2012 assumed 433 new projects worth 26.6 billion USD. "33 Turkish contractors were included in the world's biggest contractors list in 2012," Sazak stated. "In 2013, Turkish contractors will consider assuming new projects worth 30 billion USD," Sazak underlined. "As of February 2013, the number of countries in which Turkish contractors are active rose to 100, the number of projects assumed rose to 7,000 and the total value of projects assumed reached 242 billion USD," Sazak also said.
