Fifty-six ships transited the Suez Canal on Tuesday, with a total cargo of 3.1 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 32 vessels carrying around 1.7 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 24 ships carrying about 1.4 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
