Minister of Agriculture Abdel Moniem el-Bana conferred on Wednesday with a South Korean delegation of businessmen and investors on potentials of agricultural investment in Egypt.
In statements following the meeting, the minister asserted that the government was keen on improving the climate of investment, especially in the agricultural sector and its relevant fields.
He reviewed with the delegation a proposal to establish an integrated development project to establish modern greenhouses based on state-of-the-art technologies.
The minister made it clear that the Korean investors voiced their resolve to construct a solar energy project in Egypt along with a water purification station.
They also probed several projects for poultry, fisheries as well as slaughterhouses, added the minister.
The two sides agreed on conducting feasibility studies on such projects and outlining a timetable for their implementation as soon as possible.
