
The Albanian Finance Ministry Thursday completed the drafting of the fiscal package for 2015, which will be submitted to Parliament on next Monday for discussion.
According to Albanian Telegraphic Agency, the Albanian Finance Ministry has planned some changes in the fiscal package of 2015 and the effect of these changes in the stated budget is calculated to amount to 10 billion leks (about 100 million U.S. dollars).
The most dominating part of this revenue increase will be due to the raise of excise on tobacco, already approved by the Parliament, meanwhile it is expected a rise regarding alcoholic drinks and beer.
The positive effect of revenue increase in the stated budget due to the raising of the excise on tobacco for 2015, is expected to be at about 3.4 billion leks and 600 million leks from the collection of VAT tax. Whereas, the state budget revenue increase due to the raise of rolled paper tobacco tax for the 2015, is expected to be 200 million leks. ( 1 U.S. dollar = 100 leks)
