
Minister of Industry and Mines Abdessalam Bouchouareb, stressed Saturday Algerian government's willing to encourage Algerian companies to carry out investment projects in Chad.
"Today, the Algerian companies have development capacities at the international level and our government is ready to encourage them to carry out projects in your country," Bouchouareb said in a speech at the opening of an Algerian-Chadian economic meeting.
"All facilitationsand support will be provided for the implementation and the success of their investment projects," the minister said at the meeting held on the occasion of Chadian President Idriss Deby Itno's state visit to Algiers.
Moreover, Algeria, which focuses on boosting its economic and industrial base, has set up an appropriate regulatory framework to welcome and facilitate foreign investment, the minister said.
Hestressed in this regard the availability of the Algerian authorities to encourage and assist the Chadian companies to work in Algeria.
For the minister,this meeting shows the desire of both countries to strengthen their economic cooperation and raise it to the "excellent" bilateral relations.
"This meeting is held in a favorable context for the development of relations between the economic operators of both countries to establish partnerships particularly in the fields of food industry, services, trade and infrastructure," Bouchouareb added.
The Algerian-Chadian economic meeting takes place in the presence of Deby and a hundred traders of both countries representing different sectors such as food, energy, infrastructure and services.
