
Mayor of Amman Aqel Biltaji discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Amman and Moscow, benefitting both the cities, during a meeting with the Russian Ambassador to Amman, Boris Bolotin.
Biltagy reviewed Greater Amman Municipality's (GAM) future plans and the current projects, which serve the city and the citizens during the meeting. He also dwelled upon the challenges facing the city in the field of organization and development of the public transport system. Furthermore, the promotion of cleaning-up and environment related works was discussed.
Bolotin praised the distinguished relations between the two countries, expressing his admiration for the level of development achieved by the city of Amman.
He also stressed his willingness to strengthen bilateral relations and joint works, in addition to exchanging expertise in various areas.
Both the parties agreed on naming a main street in their respective cities, choosing one with historical significance, to enhance friendship. They also noted that there has been a cooperation agreement between Amman and Moscow since 2005, in addition to another agreement between Amman and Nalchik city, which deepens cooperation in all fields.
