
Bahrain's economic delegation, currently visiting China, has signed four agreements, on the sidelines of China Overseas Investment Fair, organized by China Overseas Development Association (CODA), in the framework of boosting economic and trade relations between Bahrain and China.
Bahrain Economic Development Board (BEDB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CODA that aims to promote investment projects in a number of sectors in both countries.
The second agreement was endorsed by BEDB and Chinamax on the establishment of a regional commercial center in Bahrain.
The third MoU was signed between China National Building Materials Corporation and Chinamax on providing trade finance services for Chinese tenants in Dragon City project in Bahrain. While Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry sealed the fourth agreement with All-China Federation of Trade Unions that targets establishing coordination relations aim at promoting trade and industrial interest and strengthening bilateral economic relations.
Minister of Transportation also BEDB Acting CEO, Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed, highlighted Bahrain's geographical location, open economy and ideal business environment that conform with China's trade and economic vision.
He added that Bahrain makes a perfect destination for Chinese companies willing to benefit from the accelerated growth witnessed by GCC countries which tops $ 1.6 trillion.
Bahrain's delegation will hold seminars in Guangzhou, Schengen and Hong Kong cities to introduce investments opportunities in Bahrain.
