
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today Russian Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Manturov and his accompanying delegation on the occasion of their visit to Bahrain to take part in the Russia-Gulf Dialogue.
HRH the Premier welcomed them, stressing the importance of their visit in bolstering trade and economic relations between Bahrain, the GCC countries and Russia. He voiced keenness to set up strong relations with Russia in various political and economic fields, underlining Russia' influential role as a major power in maintaining regional security and stability.
"Russia can give a lot to the GCC countries. Therefore, it is in the interest of all that Russia has a bigger role amid the current regional and international circumstances," he said, expressing satisfaction at growing relations between Bahrain and Russia in political, economic, trade and cultural fields. He also emphasised the importance of exchanging visits in further enhancing bilateral cooperation.
The Russian Minister of Trade and Industry thanked HRH the Premier for his efforts to promote Bahraini-Russian cooperation, underscoring deep-rooted relations between both countries. He reiterated his country's keenness to broaden the scope of cooperation with the GCC countries, congratulating Bahrain's leadership and people on the National and Accession Days and praising the kingdom's development at all levels.
