
The Minister of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf received the newly-appointed Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Kiyoshi Asako.
The minister commended the distinguished relations between the two countries on the commercial, economic and industrial levels. He also hailed the role of the Embassy of Japan in enhancing commercial exchanges and investment opportunities between the two sides.
The ambassador also referred to the infrastructure projects implemented by the Ministry in various areas in the Kingdom.
Last year, the Ministry of Works organized, in collaboration with the Japanese Embassy, the Japanese Expertise Forum in Sanitary Engineering, which at the time was an invaluable opportunity for Japanese experts to showcase their modern techniques related to the field of sanitary engineering, including methods of cleaning Tubli Bay.
