Belarusian Ambassador in Cairo Sergei Rachkov said that he discussed with Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati the participation of Belarus's companies in implementing national projects in the irrigation and land reclamation fields in Egypt.
In statements to MENA on Monday, Rachkov said that the two sides agreed on boosting direct cooperation between the Irrigation and Water Resources Ministry and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection in Minsk.
The Belarusian embassy in Cairo will work on linking Egypt's National Water Research Center (NWRC) with its counterpart in Belarus to outline a plan on water-related issues, he added.
During the meeting, the Belarusian side voiced keenness on participating in digging wells in agricultural lands in Egypt, the diplomat said.
