
Berlin and Cairo deepened their partnership during Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) the was concluded Sunday in Sharm el Sheikh, Deutsche Welle said in a commentary.
Tages Anzeiger, on its part, highlighted the conclusion of the EEDC and focused on the meetings that took place and the agreements inked between German Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Sigmar Gabriel and his accompanying delegation and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
During his visit to Egypt, Gabriel delivered to Sisi an invitation from German Chancellor Angela Merkel to visit German, the German newspaper Stuttgarter Zeitung reported.
The German company of Siemens inked a group of agreements with Egypt that worth billions, the paper added.
The agreements are in the sector of energy and wind energy with cost of 10 billion dollars, it said.
The European support in general and the German in particular are very important for Egypt as a country facing terror, another German newspaper said.
Berlin extremely desires Egypt's stability, Stuttgarter Zeitung said.
