Cabinet approves AfDB grant to qualify slums

During its meeting under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, the cabinet approved a grant on “technical support for qualifying slums” project presented by the African Development Bank for the interest of the fund for developing slums.
The grant aims at financing preparations for the studies conducted to develop slums.
The grant also involves conducting economic and social studies on the slums that will help the fund determine its priorities.
Meanwhile, the cabinet approved a draft resolution to re-allocate some state-owned plots of land for establishing projects in Aswan, Suez and South Sinai.
