
Deputizing for Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Hatem Halawani on Sunday opened the China Fair Jordan 2014, where over 1,000 companies are displaying their products.
The first phase of the fair, which runs until Wednesday, is exhibiting industrial machines, products and equipment related to renewable energy and food production, while during the second phase, slated for 15-18 September, a host of other items, mainly household appliances and auto parts, will be on show.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Saudi Arabia and Libya.
The China Fair Jordan 2014, the eleventh such exhibition held in the Kingdom, was organised in cooperation with the Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
