State Councilor Yang Jing met with public servants from Australia and New Zealand on Monday at Zhongnanhai, the seat of the central government.
The Australian and New Zealand guests are in Beijing to attend a seminar for senior public servants at the National School of Administration of China.
Speaking highly of China's relations with the antipodean nations, Yang, who also heads the school, said the seminar would help develop bilateral relations and enhance understanding and trust.
This is the third time that public servants from Australian and New Zealand have attended the seminar.
The 24-member group will participate in sessions at the school and visit Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in north China, Sichuan Province in the southwest, and Shanghai Municipality and Zhejiang Province in east China.
