
The Czech government approved on Monday the country's participation in the World Expo in 2017 in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, said Czech Industry and Trade Minister Jan Mladek on Twitter.
Mladek said that the Industry and Trade Ministry is in charge of the event. It has planned a pavilion of 320 square meters and a budget of 98 million crowns (4 million U.S. dollars). The main topics of the display are lowering emissions and energy efficiency.
A world expo will be held in Astana from June 10 till September 10, 2017. Some 5.5 million visitors are expected to attend the exhibition.
