Danish Ambassador in Cairo Susanne Shine has encouraged Danish companies to invest in Egypt.
Egypt has one of the most promising markets in the Middle East and North Africa region, Shine said in a meeting with Mohamed Khudair, the CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) on Wednesday.
Representatives of Danish companies operating in Egypt attended the meeting.
Shine said today's get-together is one of the most important since she assumed the diplomatic post in Cairo two weeks ago.
Khudair said GAFI is keen on holding regular meetings with all investors in order to ease obstacles facing them.
He reviewed decisions made by GAFI and a bunch of incentives, which had positive effects on the investment climate in Egypt.
Denmark comes 34th in the list of countries investing in Egypt, with 149 companies operating in the Arab country.
