
Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority Ahmed Darwish said the Suez Canal's Economic Zone (SCZone) is expected to be one of the most important seven economic axes worldwide during the period between 2020 and 2025.
The Suez Canal will become a locomotive for economic growth, Darwish added in a speech at a symposium, held at Banha University under the rubric "Giant National projects..Challenges And Future Vision."
Darwish said that serious negotiations were held with Arab and foreign investors to do business in the area.
Investment contracts at Ain Sokhna area have been already signed, he said, adding the Suez Canal economic Zone is ready and promising for investment.
