
Drydocks World, the international service provider to the shipping, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors, has celebrated the yards anniversary with a ceremony to mark 33 years of excellence.
Since 1983, the company has evolved to service a multitude of maritime market segments, expanding the customer base and transforming alongside the progress of Dubai into a global maritime hub. Drydocks World’s services have been commended many times, winning various awards around the world due to safe, high quality services. Through collaborative efforts with clients, stakeholders and the people at Drydocks World from all levels, everyone has worked together to lead Drydocks World towards excellence and success.
Drydocks World's Dubai yard began with the business predominantly based on vessel repair, and expanded over the years to constructing a floating dock and a 2,000T floating crane for the yard’s own use. Since then, Drydocks World has launched further into new building and conversion with remarkable success, constructing world's first mega projects for the offshore industry that have positioned the company as a world renowned leading shipyard of choice.
During 2015, the yard achieved numerous records, with 42 vessels serviced simultaneously and 11 rigs, in addition to constructing the yard’s first offshore jacket and topside unit. With 33 years of service to the industry complete, Drydocks World will continue to develop and innovate into the future.
