Egypt and China have signed a memorandum of understanding under which the latter would share its technological know-how in manufacturing solar boards with the Arab country.
Putting their signatures to the MoU from Egypt were Minister of Military Production Mohamed el Assar and Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr.
An official with China's TBEA SunOasis Co. Ltd also signed the MoU, which will help Egypt build its own solar panels.
Attar said cooperation with China in this field will help achieve a quantum leap in the electricity sector.
Nasr stressed the importance of this project, which will help Egypt upgrade the industry through using its human resources, technological potentials and mineral wealth.
She offered to provide support needed to facilitate all measures to implement the project.
