Visiting Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) Ahmed Darwish said he extended an invitation to French investors to visit the Suez Canal Economic Zone to get acquainted with investment opportunities and facilitated investment procedures offered by the government.
Speaking to MENA following a meeting with representatives of major French companies, Darwish said the meeting aimed to familiarize them with the Suez Canal Economic Zone and its promising investment chances.
The meeting was positive as all their inquiries were answered regarding investment in the area, he said.
He said that during a meeting with the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF), he shed light on the privileges offered by SCZONE to investors and the speedy process of issuing licenses.
Darwish highlighted an initiative to establish an electronics city in east Port Said.
Darwish started Wednesday a visit to Paris that will conclude Friday, a month before an expected Cairo visit by French President François Hollande.
