
International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr discussed cooperation between Egypt and Netherlands especially in the fields of agriculture and greenhouses during her meeting with Netherlands' Ambassador here Laurens Westhoff.
During the get-together held on Saturday, Nasr hailed Netherlands's expertise in the domain of agriculture especially the greenhouses, pointing out to the directives given by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to pay attention to agriculture as well as food security which are bases for national economy.
She further said that greenhouses protect the environment and can achieve agricultural progress for Egypt to accommodate the rapid increase of population.
The minister underlined that there are preparations to form a technical economic committee under the International Cooperation Ministry and its Netherlands counterpart where Egypt can benefit from the Netherlands's expertise in the field of desalinating water.
For his part, Westhoff expressed his country's readiness to provide technical support for Egypt in the agriculture domain
