
Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil said he is currently mulling with the World Bank an agreement on a new funding program worth dlrs 150 million.
The program aims at developing infrastructure and labor-intensive social services projects and improving employment and training opportunities in the poorest and most needy areas in Egypt.
The program also falls within the framework of the state's strategy to achieve "Sustainable Development Strategy: Egypt's vision 2030".
This came at a plenary meeting on Wednesday with a delegation of the World Bank, under Gustavo Demarco, the Program Leader for Human Development, Gender and Jobs for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti.
The meeting was also attended by Secretary General of the Social Fund for Development (SFD) Nevien Gamaa.
