
Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding Company Sherif Fathi took part in the 202nd round of the board of governors of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Geneva tackling several important issues on air transport industry.
The meeting took up the stance of the world airlines towards the mechanism of decreasing carbon dioxide emissions due to be applied under the umbrella of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Fathi said.
The meeting also discussed means to develop world air transport industry and address the most important challenges facing it such as air safety and security, he said.
The board of governors includes 31 members of the board chairmen of major world airlines.
