An Egyptian economic delegation on Friday met with Egyptian businessmen in Austria, in a meeting organized by the Egyptian Embassy at the headquarters of the General Union of Egyptians in Austria.
The delegation, under Assistant Minister of International Cooperation Mohamed Hammam and Chairman of the Egyptian Industries Federation Mohammed Al Suwaidi, represented the industries federation and a number of Egyptian companies.
Egypt's Ambassador to Austria Khaled Shamaa told MENA that the delegation's visit is an important opportunity to promote the Egyptian economy and show available investment opportunities in the country.
The delegation also reviewed measures taken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate and the current strategy to achieve economic recovery in the long term, Shamaa said.
He also affirmed Egypt's keenness to boost economic and trade relations with Austria.
An Austrian trade delegation is scheduled to visit Cairo in March to discuss investment possibilities and opportunities in Egypt, ways to enhance trade exchange and to take part in Egypt's Economic Development Conference (EEDC) in Sharm El Sheikh, the ambassador said.
