Efforts are underway to reform the Egyptian side in the Egyptian-Indian joint business council in order to undertake its role in promoting bilateral ties through creating partnerships between the private sector in the two countries, said Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour.
During his meeting with a delegation of the Confederation of Indian Industry, who took part in the Egypt Economic Development Conference, Abdel Nour said that the Indian companies' participation in the conference was crucial in order to get acquainted with the available investment opportunities in Egypt.
Regarding the complaints of a number of Indian companies toward imposing anti-dumping duties on Indian products which are exported to Egypt, especially the polyester, the minister said that Egypt deals with such kind of issues in line with the rules of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Meanwhile, Indian Ambassador to Egypt Navdab Suri extended an invitation to Abdel Nour to attend the Indian Global Exhibition on Services, which will be organized by India from April 23 until April 25.
