
Egypt's Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhri Abdel Nour on Monday met with Head of European Union Delegation to Egypt James Moran ways to increase intra-regional trade and joint investment rates between Egypt and the EU.
The two parts also discussed taking all measures to facilitate the transfer of goods between the two sides.
Abdel Nour said he reviews with Moran Egypt's preparations to organize an economic conference in March in Sharm el Sheikh.
Heads of state and government of many Arab and foreign countries are scheduled to take part in the conference, that will be a great opportunity to review the Egyptian government's plans to reform the economic system and the major national projects currently being developed, he added.
The minister also stressed the government's keenness to improve the investment climate by reviewing all related legislation to give more facilities that can attract investors.
All needed amendments will be finished before March's economic conference, he added.
The talks also dealt with Egypt's pivotal role in the World Trade Organization's files.
