
Ethiopia and Turkey agreed to bolster their trade relations to half a billion dollars annually, the Walta Information Center reported Thursday.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed bilateral and multilateral issues in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa today.
Ethiopia and Turkey signed a cooperation protocol on the areas of science and technology.
In a press briefing, the Turkish leader noted Turkey and Ethiopia will work towards making Nejashi Mosque a top tourist destination.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Addis Ababa, late on Wednesday (January 21) on the first stage of an official visit to countries in the Horn of Africa.
Turkish President Erdogan is accompanied by his wife and daughter, Emine and Summeye Erdogan, as well as ministers including Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtuand, a delegation of officials and businessmen.
