China is one of Europe's most important economic partner with trade worth more than one billion a day. China is the EU's biggest source of imports and in 2012 alone it shipped 289.7 billion euro worth of goods to the EU, the European Parliament said in a press release. Members of the European Parliament discussed on Tuesday negotiations for an upcoming investment agreement with China, that could help create opportunities for European companies and attract billions of euros of investment to Europe. China is an important investor in the EU and the investment agreement could help to create jobs, boost competition and provide EU firms with more capital. However, there are concerns over political and security matters, noted the press release.
