The eurozone's business climate indicator (BCI) remained broadly flat compared with the previous month, a European Commission survey showed Thursday.
It decreased slightly by 0.01 points to 0.16 in August on a monthly basis.
Managers' appraisals of past production and export order books were optimistic, while their assessment of expected production decreased, according to the survey.
Meanwhile, their views on the level of stocks of finished products and overall order books remained broadly unchanged.
The eurozone's BCI fell by 0.04 points to 0.17 in July.
The BCI is based on a factor analysis of the euro area aggregate balances of five of the monthly questions in the industry survey. Enditem
