Former President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia Scott Blacklin will be expelled from Russia on June 5 over entry rules violation, Vladimir Brikker, the head of the Nizhny Novgorod department of the Federal Migration Service, said on Tuesday.
"Under Nizhny Novgorod’s Sormovsky district court ruling, this man will be expelled from Russia for violating entry rules. In line with the procedure, he is to be deported on June 5, when the court ruling comes into force," Brikker said.
According to the migration service officer, Blacklin came to Russia with a business visa, which allows its holder engage in business activities or enhance his or her professional skills. But, as a matter of fact, he worked as a lecturer at the Nizhny Novgorod University. Apart from that, he already committed a similar violation during his stay in Nizhny Novgorod in May 2014.
Currently, Blacklin is being kept at a special temporary accommodation center for foreigners. "He is satisfied with the conditions he is being kept in," Brikker said.
