A Turkish-type-boron cement plant that will be built in Kutahya, western province of Turkey in summer, will be the first in the world. Having the most boron reserves, Emet, a district of Kutahya, will host the plant. An official from the company that will build the plant, Mustafa Kemal Yildirim told AA correspondent that they will produce Turkish-type-boron added cement for the very first time in the world. He said they will build the plant with domestic partners. He said they estimate to produce 1,155.000 tonnes of portland cement per year and the cement would have higher quality by 85 percent. Boron added cement is 25 percent more durable than the regular cement and it will be used at the construction of oil wells, highways, dams, nuclear plants, storages and viaducts. Turkey has most of the world boron reserves.
