
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met before his departure here on Thursday with President and Chief Executive Officer of German engineering giant "Siemens AG" Joe Kaeser.
The meeting was to follow up the company's activities in Egypt in the fields of energy generation, transport and railways, ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
Egypt is attaching special importance to Siemens' projects in the country, which, according to the company's chief, are one of its largest projects in the field of wind energy generation, the spokesman said.
The meeting also took up professional training programs the company will offer to workers at those projects.
Siemens organized an interview for the foreign minister with German media representatives after the meeting on Egypt's role in helping settle different crisis in the Middle East as well as Egyptian-German cooperation spheres, the spokesman added.
