
Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s Chairman Khalid A. Al Moayyed received at the BCCI's offices in Bait al-Tijjar the Ambassador of the Federation Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sabine Taufmann.
The BCCI's Chairman affirmed the Chamber's attentiveness to bolstering the level of bilateral relations between the two countries through activation of the role of the private sector in both countries to develop mutual investments, citing the Bahraini government's concessions to foreign investors and Bahrain's strategic location as business and investment hub.
He welcomed German investment in Bahrain in partnership with the Bahraini private sector which always welcomes the studying of potential investment opportunities.
The German Ambassador has praised the excellent political and economic relations, expressed her country's aspiration to developing and consolidating various aspects of economic and investment cooperation. She said that a German business delegation will visit Bahrain in March, comprising representatives of major German companies in the health, architectural engineering, construction, banking, finance and energy sectors. The ambassador called Bahrain private sector to avail from this visit in order to explore further commercial cooperation opportunities between Bahrain and Germany.
BCCIs' First Deputy Chairman Othman S. Al Rayes, board member Abdul Hameed A. Al Kooheji and CEO Nabil A. Al Mahmoud were also present in the meeting.
