
Greece will take part in Economic Development Conference (EEDC), which will be held in Sharm el Sheikh on March 13-15.
A high-level delegation, led by Greek Economy and Tourism Minister Giorgos Stathakis, will attend the conference along with a host of Greek companies operating in Egypt.
Egyptian-Greek ties are strong in the various spheres, especially at the economic level, according to a statement distributed by the Greece Embassy in Cairo.
Egypt is the most important economic partner for Greece in the Middle East and North Africa, added the statement.
The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Greece increased during the first half of 2014 to hit about 1.3 billion pounds, with an increase of 79 percent if compared to the same period in 2013, according to recent reports prepared by the Statistical Service of Greece.
Egyptian exports to Greece registered a growth by 57.2 % from January to November 2014, if compared to the same period in 2013, according to the reports.
