
Minister of Industry and Trade Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour said a 30-member delegation of government officials and businessmen from South Korea will take part in the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) in Sharm El Sheikh.
This came following the minister's meeting with South Korean Ambassador in Cairo Chung Kwang-kyun.
The meeting took up means of bolstering economic cooperation, beefing up trade volume as well as joint investments in the coming phase.
The two sides reviewed means of pushing up cooperation, especially in the new and renewable energy, electronics and engineering industries.
The South Korean ambassador said a high-profile delegation of his company will take part in EEDC.
He said the efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to improve business and investment climate could encourage more Korean investors to set up more projects in Egypt, the main gate of the Middle East and Africa region.
