
Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde on Saturday sent a cable to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
In the cable, Lagarde expressed happiness for taking part in the Egyptian Economic Development Conference (EEDC), held in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh in March.
She hailed as "successful" the conference, praising the large number of economic agreements concluded on its sidelines.
Also in the cable, the IMF top official expressed satisfaction over the latest economic reforms introduced by the Egyptian government, pointing out the Fund's readiness to provide assistance to Egypt.
