410 mining and industrial projects are to be inaugurated across Iran simultaneous with massive celebrations of the 36th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution (February 1-11).
Approximately $2bln has been invested in the development projects which can create over 16,000 job opportunities.
Khorassan Razavi province with 62 projects, Alborz province with 30 projects, Golestan and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces with 28 projects are among provinces with the most industrial and mining projects.
The 10-Day Dawn celebrations (February 1-11), marking the 36th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution over the former Pahlavi regime, started across Iran on Sunday morning.
The ceremonies started this morning at 9:33 a.m. local time (0603 GMT), the time when the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini arrived back home on February 1, 1979 from exile.
Meanwhile, a special ceremony is underway at Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum in Tehran, which is attended by thousands of people from all walks of life as well as a host of senior state and military officials.
Simultaneously, special ceremonies are being held in more than 80 Iranian cultural centers in 60 countries to mark the first day of the Ten-Day Dawn period.
Led by the Founder of the Revolution, Imam Khomeini, Iranians confronted the forces of US-proxy Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi in late 1977 to end his oppressive, cruel and autocratic rule over the country.
By December 1978, millions of Iranians would take to the streets in protest against the policies of the Shah on a regular basis.
