Jordan European Business Association's (JEBA) board of directors discussed on Monday with the Swedish Ambassador to Jordan, Helena Rietz, means and mechanisms to enhance commercial and economic ties at the private sector level.
The two parties emphasized the advanced relations between the two countries, stressing the necessity to promote trade volume which is below expectations.
The Association's deputy president, Fawzi Hamouri, said during the meeting that Jordan is keen to build strong economic bonds with its partners all over the world, especially the European Union countries as many trade agreements regulate ties between the two sides.
Rietz stressed the need to strengthen the economic and trade ties between the two countries through exchanging bilateral visits and holding meetings between Jordanian and Sweden businessmen to explore investment prospects and to create opportunities for joint cooperation.
