Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) here on Wednesday called for strengthening trade and economic cooperation with Albania.
In a statement to KUNA after meeting with a visiting Albanian trade delegation, Osama Al-Nesef, a KCCI member, said that trade exchange between Kuwait and Albania does not meet "joint target", adding Kuwaiti investments in Albania still need time to reach a developed level.
"To reach that level, Albania should provide tax facilities and services to investors who target better atmospheres to obtain revenues from their projects," he added, noting that Albania is still an attractive investment hub.
He pointed out that Kuwaiti investors are active and experienced and always search for investing in projects that serve their country's interest and also the interest of the country where they invest.
Al-Nesef expressed his hope that this visit could achieve its targets aimed at enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries, calling for offering facilities to investors.
The visit provides Kuwait business with more information about Albania's investment atmosphere, noting that the KCCI spares no effort to provide its services that contribute to increasing joint trade exchange.
Meanwhile, the delegation said that Kuwait contributed to carrying out several developmental projects in Albania notably in the domains of agriculture, sewage and restoration of squares.
Albania aims to encourage foreign investments as it has investment opportunities in tourism and energy, the delegation said, adding that Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development contributed to implement several investment projects.
A friendship association was established between Kuwait and Albania to provide investors with data on economic atmospheres in Albania, the delegation noted.
