Kuwait's embassy in Senegal has distributed in-kind aid on poor Senegalese as part of a humanitarian relief convoy targeting needy families that were been hard hit by poverty and lack of rain, the embassy said in a statement on Sunday.
The step was preceded by a survey in eight areas north of the capital Dakar.
The embassy added that the aid, financed by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity Society, includes food baskets, each for a six-member family.
The aid is dedicated from the Kuwaiti people to the Senegal, financed and supervised by the Society in cooperation with embassy, and ambassador Mohammed Fadel Khalaf.
The aid was distributed during a ceremony held at the embassy, attended by local Senegalese officials and beneficiaries.
