
Chief Executive of Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Osama bin Abdullah Al-Absi, today received Ambassador K. M .Mominur Rahman of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom, and discussed Bangladeshi labour's status in Bahrain.
LMRA CEO discussed scopes of cooperation between LMRA and Bangladeshi Labour Ministry at the level of raising awareness of Bangladeshi labour in Bahrain of LMRA regulations, their legal status and rights and duties.
He added that problems facing Bangladeshi labour in local labour market were discussed, as well as mechanisms to address them in conformity with labour laws and human rights in general.
He highlighted protecting expats labour rights and at the same time the employers' rights, without prejudice to the rights and obligations of each party to ensure a stable and prosperous labour market.
Bangladeshi Ambassador lauded the new LMRA laws and regulations and achievements in regulating expats labour.
