
The Minister of Minerals Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Saiddiq Al-Karouri has affirmed his support to the Ukrainian companies to operate in the field of mining, aerial photography and mapping.
The minister explained, during a meeting at his office Monday with the Sudan Ambassador to Ukraine Anas Al-Tayib and the Group of Ukrainian Companies, that his ministry has been working hard to support the national economy, reiterating that the production will reach 70 tones by the end of this year.
The minister fully briefed the Ukrainian delegation on the mining in Sudan and its role in supporting the national economy, revealing that the number of mining company in Sudan totaled 132 companies, about 10 companies of which entered the production stage.
Dr. Al-Karouri welcomed the Ukrainian companies to work in Sudan.
The Sudan Ambassador to Ukraine, for his part, emphasized that, the companies would start soon and in practical and scientific strides to extract minerals, particularly gold.
