
Myanmar President U Thein Sein left Nay Pyi Taw for Beijing Friday to attend the Dialogue on Strengthening Connectivity Partnership and APEC CEO Summit 2014 to be held in the Chinese capital, according to official sources.
U Thein Sein is making the trip at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The upcoming events of the 21-member Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) include the APEC Ministerial Meeting, APE CEO Summit, APEC Business Advisory Council Dialogue with Leaders, and the 22nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting which are scheduled for next Monday-Tuesday.
China will also host a dialogue on strengthening connectivity on Saturday.
Myanmar president last paid a state visit to China in June to attend the Commemorative Ceremony of the 60th Anniversary of the Announcement of the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence by Myanmar, China and India held in Beijing.
