International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr reviewed on Wednesday with a visiting delegation of the US firm Blumberg Grain several development projects to be carried out by the company in Egypt.
CEO Blumerg Grains David Blumberg and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Blumberg Philip Blumberg lead the delegation.
Blumberg Grain - which is a leading global food security company, providing harvest protection systems and technology - is due to implement a project that will make Egypt the center of food security in the Middle East and Africa, Nasr said.
Nasr said the government is implementing several development projects under directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to create jobs, improve people's standards of living and securing their staple needs, especially in the agricultural sector.
The American company chairman said the first stage of the project started with developing silos, adding that the second stage will start soon.
He noted that the project would save a huge amount of hard currency spent on importing wheat.
He noted that the company is committed to the Egyptian government support for farmers
