
A conference held at the Polish city of ??d? on Arab-Polish economic ties is an important indication about Poland's interest in the Arab region, deputy chairman of the Egyptian Polish Businessmen Association (EPBA) Sherif Abul Magd said.
Addressing the event, Abul Magd underlined the need to offer funding means for joint investment and trade by banks from both sides, EPBA said in a statement.
Meanwhile, EPBA secretary general Mohamed Youssef floated a number of trade agreements Egypt had signed with several economic blocs and their impact on the Egyptian role in the region.
The conference addressed the issue of aviation lines and maritime transport between Poland and the Arab region as the UAE is the only Arab country to have a direct air route with Warsaw.
